Happy 150th Birthday to The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin!!!
Yesterday the BBC reported that a young man recognized a first edition of the revolutionary book in his father-in-law’s bathroom. As one of only 1,250 first edition prints from 1859, this beautiful green and gold book will be auctioned by Christie’s and is expected to sell for £60,000!

If our next-door neighbor kept a dog in the conditions that well more than 90 percent of pigs are kept in, we would call the police. We wouldn’t just be offended. We wouldn’t just think it was wrong. We would be compelled to take action.
